Alli + Drew | Engagement Portraits

January 22, 2025

Are you team engagement portraits? Not sure if they’re necessary? Well not many things in life are actually a necessity.. However, I am a BIG supporter of engagement portraits and let me tell you why!

3 REASONS YOU SHOULD HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT PORTRAIT SESSION:

1. IT FOSTERS CONNECTION AND COMFORT WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

If you don’t already know your photographer, an engagement session is a great way to meet and get to know them, and for them to get to know you! This allows you and your partner the opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera in a relaxed, stress free setting while your photographer will be able to get a feel for how you interact as a couple, what your preferred side is, the best way to communicate posing to you, etc. A lot goes into capturing a balanced mix of candid and curated portraits on your wedding day.. A well prepared photographer makes a big difference and engagement sessions are great for that! At Faith Photography, we truly believe in treating you as more than just a client. We want to build relationships that leave you feeling confident, encouraged and loved!

    2. THE PERFECT WAY TO CAPTURE THIS SPECIAL SEASON

What makes your relationship unique? Engagement sessions should be fun and relaxed! Do you dance in the kitchen on the Saturday morning making breakfast together? Or do you prefer a night out in the city grabbing drinks? Maybe you like to take walks in the park with a yummy coffee. Capture your true personalities and love story in a way that creates lasting memories, reflecting your relationship in this season of life. You will enjoy being able to look back on these portraits one day in the future!

    3. THERE ARE PRACTICAL AND VERSATILE USES FOR ENGAGEMENT PORTRAITS

Engagement portraits can be used in several ways, including: save the dates, your wedding website, invitations, or as decor for your bridal shower and wedding. They are also a timeless keepsake for you and your families to cherish!

I hope this post has been helpful in educating you on the pros to having an engagement session! Let me know if you have any questions! If you are newly engaged and planning a wedding, please reach out or feel free to inquire to work with us!
