When I reached out to schedule this sweet couple’s engagement portraits, they expressed that they wanted to wait until there would be Fall foliage in their portraits. So I think this may be the closest that we have scheduled engagement portraits and a wedding together! Emma + Mike were planning a November wedding at The Estate at River Run, so we waited until mid October to shoot their engagements so that they would have as much color as possible in their portraits!

TIP: I highly recommend reaching out to your photographer as soon as possible after you get engaged, so that you can schedule your engagement portraits during your preferred season! Chances are, your photographer’s calendar is already filling up, so get on their schedule as soon as you’re able! Even if it’s still a few months out! Your photographer can’t read your mind – so keep them in the loop on what season/specific vision you’re thinking for engagement portraits!
