HI! Rachel Liptak.. umm I mean Rachel Wirsing here!! Oh my goodness that is going to take some getting used to! I get to guest write today’s post, and I am so excited to share a little about our wedding week and bridal portraits!
On July 7th, exactly one month out from my wedding, I took my bridal portraits at The Estate at River Run and when I say their venue is gorgeous, it’s an understatement!! The vision I had for my bridal portraits was to take them in a different setting that my wedding venue, so that way my images didn’t all have the same atmosphere. I wanted texture, some structure and a timeless/classy location. My original plan was to take them at the Capital building, but unfortunately that wasn’t an option at the time due to the riots/protests. Honestly, I’m sooo happy though with how they turned out!!
Once we were there, I got dressed and did a fun little “first look” with my dad! Dad’s typically don’t tag along to bridal portraits, but my dad isn’t typical! He is very involved and we are all close so it was tons of fun, and honestly settled a lot of my nerves!
Okay, and now on to wedding week… Woah. Where do I start? The “wedding week” is crazy. Insane. Gone in the blink of an eye. Busy. Fun. Stressful. and yet it is still one of the most amazing weeks of my life! My mom and I did as much prep work as possible beforehand and tried to complete most of it by the end of last week, in order to spend as much time with out of town family as possible! My bridesmaids all took me out for the night Wednesday, and kept me relaxed and calm which was much needed!
I can’t wait to share our wedding images with everyone!! It’s so surreal to me that I am MARRIED!! AHH!!!
Have a great weekend, everyone! I’m signing off to head out on my honeymoon!
