Rachel + Christian {Proposal}

AHHHH!!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M TYPING THIS POST!!! Rachel is ENGAGED?!?!?!?! Whaaaatt??!!?!

Christian contacted me a few months ago saying that he was ready to propose to Rachel, and I cried with excitement! He gave me a date and location and I was so excited because who doesn’t LOVE the beach and a beach proposal on top of that!!? From that point on, it was extremely hard to not say anything to Rachel or tip her off that something was up… I mean we WORK TOGETHER and TALK ABOUT WEDDINGS ALL THE TIME!!! I basically had to distance myself from her leading up to the date haha!! Eventually April came however, and we were headed to Virginia Beach for the day! I brought my mom, Gracie, Logan and Eli with me. We all had 3 hours on the beach to play and it was really nice out that day. While my mom and kids played on the beach I had to find the perfect place for the proposal and was figuring out how to disguise myself! And let me just say.. There aren’t many places, if any, to hide on the beach. So after some thought and failed hiding places, I decided that Gracie and I would go undercover as beach visitors sitting on the beach! Sounds good, right??

$50 later I’m walking out of the store with large beach hats and an umbrella to sit under, ha ha!! Oh and then our umbrella kept getting swept into the water by the wind! But thankfully, Rachel’s brother Gabe was there to chase it down for me!

All set and ready to go with 30 minutes left, we all got in our positions and waited for the text from Christian that he was there. It was the LONGEST 30 MINUTES EVER!!! Aahhhh!

Christian and Rachel finally made it to the beach, and he walked her out to the water to play her a beautiful song that he had written for her. Then he kneeled down and asked for her hand in marriage, and IT. WAS. A. BEAUTIFUL. MOMENT!!! For those of you who don’t know Christian.., he is an amazing singer/songwriter. He brings me chills every time he sings in church.
